Area athletes rewarded by Roma

Roma Bank and WBCB Radio (1490 AM and 1350 AM) know world champions are born in local communities. That’s why they’ve teamed up to create the Roma Bank Game Saver Award, presented to the one player at each game they broadcast who makes a game-saving play! The station recently displayed the Philadelphia Phillies World Championship Trophy as it announced its commitment to broadcast an array of upcoming high school baseball games. On hand for a photo with the trophy were 'BCB station owner Pat Deon, general manager and voice of the Philadelphia Eagles Merrill Reese, Nancy Faherty of Roma Bank and long-time Philadelphia sports broadcaster Bill Campbell.
